Selling – some things to think about

Is your house ready for a building & pest inspection?

Do you have working keys for all doors and windows?

Have you stored any items in places you might have forgotten about?

Is your fence actually built on the border of your lot?

Are there any manholes or sewerage/stormwater pipes on your lot?

Did you have a paper certificate of title?

If you’re buying another property, is that purchase subject to the settlement of your sale?

Have you discussed anything with the Buyers that the agent or your solicitor doesn’t know about, like special arrangements for access/furniture/belongings?

If you’ve had termite damage in the past, have you had recent control measures put in place?

Are all the lights, powerpoints and electrical appliances working?

If you have a mortgage, how long will your bank need to be ready for settlement?

Will you be around to sign transfer documents (last few weeks of the contract)?
